HEY EVERYONE!

My name is chloe hodson, and i write a zine called electricity. i have been writing it for a few years now, so maybe you have seen me before.

anyways, being busy and all i have had some trouble finding time to sell and promote the last few issues of my zine (Electricity vol.2 issues #1,2, & 3)

i was wondering if anyone had a distro i could submit to, or some ideas on how to promote with out it being so time consuming.

Thanks so much!

How many active members?

I am trying to research how active members are and how many member of creative writing groups participate in posting/helping each other. If you could give me an estimate I'd appreciate it. This is not for commercial purposes.

SOURGRAPES: Calling all D.I.Y. kids!

Hi there,
My name is Sam. I help run a zine called SOURGRAPES ZINE. We're a local zine based in Lexington KY. We focus on teaching kids about D.I.Y. ethics, being posi, and why its important to support local art and music.
I wanted to write not only to introduce our zine to the livejournal zine world! But also to explain our predicament. You see, after a lot of pulling out hair and craziness we've decided to hire on a full-time zine team. We used to be submission based but it was pretty hard on our (then) small team.
So now we're looking for like minded zinesters and punks who support self publication, D.I.Y. ethics, posi beliefs, and who are interested in having some fun creating a great zine and keeping the underground press alive!

We're looking for:

- Columnists
- Interviewers
- Record reviewer **
- Zine reviewers **
- D.I.Y. guide writers **
- Survival guide writers **
- Bike Repair guide writers **
- Cover artists (for upcoming covers)
- Photographers
- Cartoonists (full-time strip)
- Proof readers **
- Printers
- + more!

If you think you could help us out or would like to become apart of our team, we'd love to have you! Write us at SOURGRAPESZINE@GMAIL.COM or through our myspace: http://myspace.com/sourgrapeszine
Once again we are looking for FULL TIME writers/artists (which means we will be interested in your submissions for each issue) were poor and cant pay you but we can offer free ad space, zine copies, zine reviews, and whatever Sam can knit you!

Thanks!

Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror eZine on the hunt for new writing talent.

Hi all,

I'm co-editor of a new quarterly eZine called Pantechnicon, and it's on the hunt for new writing talent.

It doesn't pay (boo, hiss), but it does promise to publish your stories, articles, etc alongside interviews and other stuff by actual famous published writers. We don't charge anyone to read it, we don't pay the celebs for their time, we just hope to find good writers in our genres and help them reach a wider audience. Fab people who helped with Issue One include Michael Marshall Smith, Simon Clark, and Stuart Manning.

There's an LJ for the 'zine here pantechnicon and the website is http://www.pantechnicon.net

Look forward to seeing you!

Because being nice isn't always a good thing...
...apparently.

Mr Nice Guy
is the story of Dan Fisher, aspiring stand-up comedian and
all-round good guy, who is dumped by his girlfriend Claudia for being 'too
nice'.

Dan is forced to reassess his life, and his long-held belief that being
'nice' was generally considered a good thing. His eccentric flatmate Giles
and flamboyant boss Darren help Dan understand that what women really want
is someone a bit dangerous. Someone James Dean-esque.

But when Dan meets Rachel, and her arrogant, possessive boyfriend Warren,
Dan starts to realise that maybe he was right all along, and there's nothing
wrong with being a nice guy.

Absorbing, touching, and laugh-out-loud funny, Mr Nice Guy is a romantic
comedy about chivalry, friendship and love in the twenty-first century.
